This is what I've done so far on the new go kart I'm building.

This is the first one I built with items I found around the house.

Hi, this Jake and I'm going to be taking a turn on my mom's blog.

Here are some question that I will be answering:

Why do you like go karts?
Because it's like a little car.

Is this the first one you have built?
No, I made another go kart with the supplies I had.

How much does it cost?
Well, the go kart I'm building now cost around $110-140.

Where did you find the building plans?
www.kartbuilding.net

What color are you painting it?
Neon orange and neon green.

Where will you ride it?
Down our street and anywhere there is a hill.

MY 11TH BIRTHDAY!

The Laser Tag Crew

Miss Laura made my awesome gluten free cake! Thanks, Miss Laura! It was so yummy!

My new video camera.

Hi, this is Josh and my mom said I could use her blog and write about what happened on my birthday. So, at around 7:30am I opened my camcorder it was so cool! But it took so long to charge. I'm glad the first charge is the longest charge. But finally it was done and I used it till my my friends Sydney and her brother came over for my party. Then my other friend Sara, her mom and sister came. And then came the Daggetts came, too. Thanks to those that came to my party! And thanks for the awesome gifts! We had pizza and cake for dinner and then we left to go go-carting and laser tag and play a couple of arcade games. But the go-carts were closed because it was raining so we still did laser tag and and arcade games and it was still fun! (Claire and Taylor, my mom said she will make SURE to get more pictures with you in them at the next party!)

Camping

We just got back from camping at the Manchester, CA KOA. It was wonderful spending lots of time together outside with no electronics! We met people from as far away as Washington and even Germany!
For the first part of our trip we stayed in a two room cabin that had no sink or bathroom. This was a little rough as the bathroom access wasn't close. I was much happier when we spent the last two nights in an RV that the campsite rents out. We made lots of trips to the beach and enjoyed the cooler weather. 100 degree weather gets old very fast. The temps in Manchester were in the 65 to 75 degree range during the day.
DS1 and DH did some fishing from the pier in Point Arena. They didn't catch anything but they met a lot of nice guys that shared bait and gave them tips.
My favorite thing about going to Manchester is that there aren't a million people around, it's a very small town. There are wide open beautiful spaces which are hard to come by in the part of CA we live in. I am praying that we can go back next summer.

The garden is a growin'.

The garden is great this year! DH and the kids planted the seeds right in the ground as opposed to sprouting the seeds first. I was skeptical that anything would grow. This summer we had an unusual amount of rain right after the seeds were planted and it helped the seeds to sprout and grow like crazy. We've had lots of green beans and cucumbers so far. We are really looking forward to the corn and watermelon.

Getting the Garden Ready!

Brian asked me today if I wanted to get the garden up and running. I've had the flu and have been busy with school and work. I should also mention that I have no interest in gardening! I told him if he got it started I would maintain it. The kids are really excited so I plan to enlist them on this maintaining process I have committed to! So, the shopping has been done and Brian and the kids are working. I'll show some "after" pictures when phase one is done.

Dancing Daisies

Jelly Belly Factory Tour

Filling Eggs for Easter Egg Hunt

Let's get back on track...

Wow! Keeping a blog updated is not as easy as I thought it would be. Whew! I'm hoping to keep back on track and post regularly. We've had a crazy year so far! Health issues, homeschooling, and just life in general have kept me away from spending the time on our blog. The kids really love it though and have been asking me to make more entries, this is for you, munches! Love you guys!
